How to make a complaint


In the unlikely event that you are unhappy about the service provided please inform us immediately in order for the matter to be resolved.

Initially contact the person who is working on your matter to see if the matter can be resolved.

You can also make a formal complaint by writing to us and include all the information as suggested by the Legal Ombudsman in your letter. 

You should receive a response to your complaint within 30 days of receipt.

If the matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction then your complaint should be put in writing to Noreen Khan, the Partner responsible for dealing with client care. You should send in the following:-

Correspondence between you and the file handler with regard to the complaint

You should also set out in writing why you are unhappy with their decision and in what way you believe it to be wrong.

What Will Happen Next

We will send you a letter acknowledging your complaint. We may ask you to confirm or explain the detail set out.  We will respond to you our letter within five working days of receipt of your complaint.
 
We will  investigate your complaint. 
 
We will respond to your complaint in writing, setting out the decision and the reasons for that decision  within four weeks.

The Legal Ombudsman can help you independently if we cannot resolve your complaint.

They will do so in the following cases:

Within 6 months of receipt of final complaint result from us

and; 

Within one year from when you should have known there was a reason for a complaint; or 

Within one year of the act committed or omission made.
